Darleen Joyce Mueller, 81, Festus

Darleen Joyce Mueller, 81, of Festus died Jan. 15, 2024, in Herculaneum. Mrs. Mueller was a homemaker. She was a member of Hematite United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doll making, sewing, bowling, and traveling. Born Jan. 27, 1942, in Los Angeles, Calif., she was raised with her three sisters: Diane, Jackie, and Suzie. She was preceded in death by her husband: Gene Paul Mueller.

She is survived by four sons: Eugene “Larry” (Brenda) Mueller of St. Louis, Edward Mueller, Thomas (Rita) Mueller of Crystal City, Richard (Brenda) Mueller of Arnold; two daughters: Tammy Mueller of Bowling Green and Robyn (Doug) Smelser of Hillsboro; 14 grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sons: Donald Mueller and Keith Michael Mueller.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Dr., in Festus. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in Festus.
