Norval A. Olinger, 69, of Crystal City died Jan. 28, 2018, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Olinger and a warehouse laborer and security guard with Manpower Incorporated, who worked with Dow Chemical Co. in Pevely. He was a Vietnam War veteran of the U.S. Army. Born July 18, 1948, in Festus, he was the son of the late Margaret A. (Kyle) and Dale J. Olinger.
He is survived by two sons: Randal Joseph (Edna) Olinger of Festus and John Allan Olinger of French Village; two sisters: Beverly (Willie) Wegmann of Pevely and Pat (Claude) Winford of Festus; a brother: Larry (Donna) Olinger of Festus; and four grandchildren: Preston, Tyler, Matthew and Natalie Olinger.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held at a later date in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
