Norman Robert Kahdeman, 96, of Washington, Mo., died Nov. 12, 2022. Mr. Kahdeman served with the Merchant Marine during World War II. He worked in sales for Brunswick and Sherwin-Williams. Born Dec. 15, 1925, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Robert and Elsie Kahdeman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years: Beverly J. Kahdeman.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years: Mabel Kahdeman, whom he met at Raintree Plantation; two children: Lynn Thenhaus of Colorado and Jan (Brian Purcell) Kahdeman of California; four grandchildren: Brian (Allison), Clark (Nikki), Luke and Rita; and two great-grandchildren: Reagan and Olive.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Paul Thenhaus.
Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to Mercy South Hospice Group. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
