Norman Edward Smith Sr., 85, of Crystal City died March 13, 2019, at Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation in Herculaneum. Mr. Smith was an auto assembly line worker for an auto manufacturing company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoyed playing and watching sports as well as detailing cars. Born March 3, 1934, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Raymond and Marian (Clerc) Smith.
He is survived by his wife: Janis (Brumley) Smith; a son: Norman Smith Jr. of Fenton; a daughter: Paige Smith of St Louis; and three grandchildren: Chase, Alex and Will.
Funeral services and burial were private. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
