Pashia, Norma

Norma Ilene Pashia, 81, of Herculaneum died May 6, 2015, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in St. Louis County. Mrs. Pashia was a postal clerk for 33 years at the Herculaneum Post Office and was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Herculaneum. Born Oct. 11, 1933, in Herculaneum, she was the daughter of the late Maggie (Broombaugh) and Theodore Boyer. She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Louis Pashia.

She is survived by two daughters: Sherry (Kenneth) Reecht of Oakville and Tina Pashia of Valley Park; a son: Stephen (Tammy) Pashia of Wildwood; a brother: Theodore E. (Terri) Boyer of Herculaneum; and five grandchildren: Stephen Michael Reecht, Jaclynn (Todd) Cherry, Mark Stephen Pashia, Natalie Rene Pashia and Nathan Thomas Pashia.

She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Adele M. (Swyers) Boyer; a brother: Arthur Oran (the late Mary) Boyer; and a sister: Lois L. (the late Leroy) Schanz.

Funeral Mass was held May 11 at Assumption Church in Herculaneum, officiated by the Rev. Clark Maes. Burial was in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Kilo-Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
