Nichole Marie Hensley, 31, of Wellsville, formerly of Jefferson County, died Jan. 18, 2017. Ms. Hensley was active with the Night of Super Stars event for the handicapped. She was a loving and caring mother who enjoyed being with her children. Born Feb. 23, 1985, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Cynthia (Derald) Womack Poindexter of Wellsville and the late Bradley Hensley. She was also the daughter of Jim Lechner.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three children: Cheyenne Hensley, James Hensley and Dayden Tidwell; 10 siblings: Jessica (Shawn) Holland; Lisa Davis; Caleb, Whitney, Kyle and Clayton Poindexter; Sami Jones; Jamie Lechner; Brian Lechner; and Joey Lechner; five nieces and nephews: Gavin, Garrett, Zoey, Danny and A. J. Davis; four aunts and uncles: Eleanor Draper, Barb Womack, Jennifer Womack, and Ray Womack; her fiance, Devon Finch; and numerous cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Daniel McIntyre.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at Schlanker Funeral Home, 207 Danville Road, in Montgomery City. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Brian Larkin Burial is in the Bethel Cemetery west of Montgomery City. Memorials may be made to the fund set up for the Hensley children at American Bank of Missouri or to the Bethel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Schlanker Funeral Home.
