Nicholas Ittzẻs, 77, of Hillsboro died Oct. 6, 2017, at his home. Mr. Ittzẻs was a staff member at Christian Outreach Church since 1977 and a senior pastor for 23 years. He loved God, his family, music, and particularly teaching others about God’s love and grace. Born March 9, 1940, in Budapest, Hungary, he was the son of the late Eugene and Eva Ittzẻs, who fled to America with their children in the wake of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Judy Ittzẻs of Hillsboro; three children: Christa (Steve) Upton of Edgemont, S.D., Cathy (Steve) Miller of Hillsboro and Brian (Angela) Ittzẻs of Hillsboro; 12 grandchildren: Nathan, Alyssa, Sarah, Caleb, Michael, Amy, Faith, Nicholas, Benjamin, Ashleigh, William and Daniel; and two sisters: Eve (Rick) Scheiber of Rapid City, S.D., and Suzi (Jerry) Martin of Nebraska City, Neb.
He was preceded in death by a younger brother: Jeno Ittzẻs.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at Hillsboro Christian Church, 4865 Hwy. B, in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to training resources or to the Christian Outreach School. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
