Nancy Weiss, 79, of De Soto died Oct. 7, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Weiss was a homemaker and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto. She who enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, traveling and being with family.
Born Jan. 30, 1938, in Old Mines, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lucille (Politte) Pratt.
She is survived by two sons: Wayne Eaton of De Soto and David Eaton of Barnhart; three brothers: Charles (Ann) Pratt of Cadet, Sylvester “Pill” (Verna) Pratt of Crystal City and John (Ethel) Pratt of De Soto; four sisters: Rose Marie Morris of De Soto, Doris Burr of De Soto, Carolyn Baugus of De Soto and Elaine (Larry) Baldridge of Potosi; a half sister: Donna (Mark) Peters; a half brother: Mike Schutte of Potosi; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Stacey Stippey; and two sisters: Burnadette Wall and Margaret Miller.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main, in De Soto. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, officiated by Father Alexander Anderson. Burial is in the Calvary Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus, 13225 Hwy. E, De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral home.
