Nancy L. (Daugherty) Damron, 86, Barnhart

Nancy L. (Daugherty) Damron, 86, of Barnhart died Jan. 9, 2014, in De Soto.

Mrs. Damron was a school bus driver for the Mehlville School District for 28 years. She was also a past worthy matron of the Herculaneum Chapter 325 Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Arnold Lions Club, the Arnold Eagles and VFW Post 3777.

Born Nov. 29, 1927 in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Dan B. Daugherty and Mary L. Virden. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Paul T. Damron.

She is survived by two daughters: Loretta (Terry) S. Burris of Pevely and Lana S. (Joseph) Walch of Arnold; nine grandchildren: David (Heather) Burris, Natalie Burris, Megan Walch, Hannah Walch, Doug Damron, Julie (Randy) Reynolds, Jake (Crystal) Damron, Charlie Damron and DeWayne (Michelle) Rogers; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Virden Daugherty of Kansas City and Joseph (Carol) Daugherty of Pittsburg; and one sister: Alpha (Lowell) Fairchild of Liberty.

She was also preceded in death by two sons: Kenneth W. Damron and Paul (Cindy) Damron Jr.; one brother: Russell Daugherty; and one sister, Velda Duncan.

Funeral services were Jan. 13 at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, Arnold, officiated by Pastor Noel Stephens. Burial was at St. Trinity Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson Foundation.

Arrangements were under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
