Mona “Marilyn” Waggoner, 84, of Arnold died Saturday, Dec. 21, at her home. Mrs. Waggoner enjoyed spending time with family, being outdoors and country music. Born July 16, 1935, in Shirley, she was the daughter of the late Lena Bell (Eye) and Raymond S. Brewer.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years: Bernard Leroy Waggoner; two daughters: Penny L. (Dan) Roth of Festus and Nancy Y. (Butch) Graham of Cedar Hill; two sons: Keith (Vickey) Waggoner of Arnold and Christopher S. (Dawn) Waggoner of Festus; a brother: Mike Brewer of Arcadia; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Constance R. Waggoner-Terry; two sisters: Lyndora Evans and Valerie Chazell; and a brother: August Brewer.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely, followed immediately by funeral services officiated by Andy Waggoner. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
