Rigger, Mildred

Mildred “Millie” Imogene Rigger, 81, of Festus died Feb. 26, 2015, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Rigger was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers and spending time with her family. Born June 26, 1933, in Cooter, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Ethel (Franks) May. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Rigger, who died in 1996.

She is survived by three sons: Steve (Tammy) Rigger of St. Louis, Clinton (Linda) Rigger of Foristell and Donnie (Eilene) Rigger of Crystal City; four daughters: Linda Russel of Denver, Colo.; Becky Wall of Nashville, Tenn.; Brenda (Michael) Wood of Watertown, Tenn.; and Crissie (Chip) Gillie of Imperial; two sisters: Joyce (the late Earl) Blachle of Jackson and Judy George of Sarasota, Fla.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her significant other of 16 years: Bill Bollinger.

She was preceded in death by a son: Mark Rigger; a brother: Glenn May; and a sister: Louise Crump.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 2, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at the funeral home, officiated by Mrs. Rigger’s son, Clinton Rigger. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, P.O. Box 790129, Dept SK, St Louis, 63179-0129. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
