Michael Scott Rumping, 56, of Arnold died Nov. 5, 2016, at his mother’s home. Mr. Rumping was a former police officer. Born Oct. 13, 1960, in St. Louis, he was the son of Anna Marie (Deters) Rumping of Arnold and the late William A. Rumping.
He is survived by his wife: Lisa Rumping; one son: Matthew Rumping; three brothers: Thomas (MeiLing) Rumping of Cincinnati, Ohio, David (Jane) Rumping of Festus and William (Lori) Rumping of High Ridge; one sister: Carol Ann (Andy) Reinitz of St. Louis; one sister-in-law: Colleen Rumping of St. Louis County and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Abigail Faith Rumping; and a brother: Donald Rumping.
A memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15, at St. David Catholic Church, 2334 Tenbrook Road, in Arnold. Memorials may be made to an educational fund for Matthew Rumping. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
