Michael David Allen, 69, of Arnold died March 19, 2022, in St. Louis. Mr. Allen was an optician. He was active in the Arnold community, serving as a president of the Rock Community Fire Protection District Board of Directors, the Arnold Planning and Zoning board and Arnold Jaycees. He was a member of the Arnold Parks Board, Rock Township Ambulance District board, the Arnold Police Personnel Board and the Commerce Bank Advisory Board. Born Aug. 14, 1952, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Katherine (Temple) and Vernon Allen.
He is survived by his wife: Peggy (Baum) Allen; a daughter: Michelle (Troy) Jones of Ballwin; five siblings: Judie Maurath of St. Louis, Belinda Harris of Chattanooga, Tenn., Gregory Allen of De Soto, John (Sharon) Allen of Arnold and Rose (Mark) Geller of Topeka, Kan.; and two grandchildren: Kayla Jones and Sienna Jones of Ballwin.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Joseph Allen; and a brother-in-law: Michael Maurath.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, at St. David Catholic Church, 2334 Tenbrook Road, in Arnold, officiated by Father Charles Ferrara. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Arnold.
