Michael C. Fanger Sr., 71, of Barnhart died Nov. 4, 2016, in Barnhart. Mr. Fanger worked for LMC Industries and was a member of Highcrest United Methodist Church. Born Aug. 28, 1945, in St. Louis, he was the son of Bette (Boianoff) Wrozier of St. Louis and the late Loyd Fanger. He was preceded in death by his wife: Vanessa (Fischer) Fanger.
In addition to his mother and his stepmother, Eileen Fanger of Lake St. Louis, he is survived by his wife of 44 years: Vanessa (Fischer) Fanger; two children: Michael Fanger Jr. of Barnhart and Bonnie (Richard) Nelson of Arnold; three siblings: John (Christy) Fanger, Jevon (Gary) Todd and Lisa Fanger-Raznick; and eight grandchildren: Jacob, Brianna, Ashely, Mikayla, Kaitlyn, Elijah, Charleigh and Brixton. He was preceded in death by two siblings: Steve Fanger and Craig Fanger.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at Highcrest United Methodist Church, with a memorial service at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Judy Jeffrey. Burial is in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart.
