Mary Lou Reeves, 71, of De Soto died Aug. 4, 2016, at St. Louis University Hospital. Mrs. Reeves was a registered nurse at Jefferson Barracks. Born June 25, 1945, in Marshfield, she was the daughter of the late Oren Robinson and Margaret “Maggie” (Richardson) Robinson Poland. She was preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth Ray Reeves.
She is survived by three children: Teresa (Joe) King of De Soto, Bret (Robin) Reeves of De Soto and Carl (Jeanne) Reeves of Festus; five siblings: Pattie Hall of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; Diane Crawford of Marshfield; Nancy DeRose of Daytona Beach, Fla.; Linda Reynolds of Hayden Lake, Idaho; and Kraig Benoit of Otis Orchard, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at First Free Will Baptist Church in De Soto, officiated by Brother Bob Thebeau. Memorials may be made to Free Will Baptist Church Youth Camp, c/o First Free Will Baptist Church, 1401 S. Fifth St., De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
