Mary “Joyce” Huskey, 78, of Crystal City died Feb. 13, 2020, at Festus Manor Nursing Center in Festus. Mrs. Huskey was a longtime cashier for the Kroger grocery store in Festus and was a member of American Legion Post 253 Ladies Auxiliary in Festus. Born April 12, 1941, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Russell Charleville and Virginia Marie (Bayer) Boyer. She was preceded in death by her husband Owen “Karl” Huskey.
She is survived by a daughter: Karla (Kevin) Dennis of Festus; a daughter-in-law: Julie Huskey of Festus; a sister-in-law: Sharon Charleville of Festus; three grandchildren: Katie (Ryan) Brunner, Mollie (Nick) Pruneau and Kyle Dennis; and six great-grandchildren: Owen Brunner, Ella Pruneau, Dallas Brunner, Cole Pruneau, Kendall Brunner and Kylie Brunner.
She was preceded in death by a son: Kent Huskey; and a brother: John Russell Charleville.
A memorial gathering is at noon followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Terry Crank. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
