Mary Jane Tourville, 84, of De Soto died May 8, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Tourville worked for Bell Telephone and DeRousse Jewelry, but for most of her life, she was a homemaker. She loved traveling and needlepoint. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of De Soto. Born Dec. 17, 1933, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Dr. John Paul and Cecilia Jeanette (Barbee) Ingels.
She is survived by her husband: Kenneth Tourville of De Soto; two children: Tim (Cathy) Tourville of De Soto and Julie (Allen) Davis of De Soto; a son-in-law: Steve (Pat) Steinmetz of Hillsboro; three sisters: Nancy (James) Dunlap of De Soto, Paula (Rodney) Mulvania of Linn and Carol (George) Keane of Festus; five grandchildren: Josh (Kelly) Steinmetz, Kirk Steinmetz, Tyson (Jaclyn) Davis, Katey (Jim) Carmical and Erin (Nic) Cain; three great-grandchildren: Dylan, Apollo and Addie; and a dear friend: Eva Hall of De Soto.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Barbara Steinmetz.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, May 11, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 12, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Jeremy Muniz. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
