Mary Helen Lamar, 62, of Festus died March 11, 2015, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis County. Mrs. Lamar was a nursing assistant. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, cooking, baking and the St. Louis Cardinals. Born July 31, 1952, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Frances (Kellum) and John “Hoppy” Coleman Jr.
She is survived by two sons: John (Helen) Lamar of Pevely and Joseph (Roni) Boyer of Festus; three daughters: Mary (Rich) Collins of Lemay, Michele Torres of Festus and Hazel (the late Dave) Smith of Festus; a sister: Carolyn (Jeffery) Metcalf of Estill Springs, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren: Joseph, David, Maria, Jeanne, Cody, Cheyenne, Tyler, Colby, Dylan, Nathanial and Jacob; two nieces: Angela and Elizabeth; a nephew: James; and many friends. She was preceded in death by a sister: Betty Ann Coleman.
Funeral services were private. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
