Mary Frances Drake, 57, of De Soto died June 22, 2015, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Drake was a food service worker and caretaker. She was an excellent artist and enjoyed doing crafts and cake decorating. Born Feb. 21, 1958, in Bonne Terre, she was the daughter of the late Clarence D. Boyer and Mary L. (Daugherty) Boyer.
She is survived by a son: Larry (Starla) Drake III of O’Fallon; her stepmother: Phyllis Boyer of De Soto; two brothers: David “Butch” Boyer of De Soto and Joe (Carol) Boyer of Festus; her fiance: Steve Walton of Potosi; and her best friend: Lee Ellen Mahn of De Soto.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth Boyer and Anthony Boyer.
Visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m. and a funeral service for 11 a.m. on Friday, July 3, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 North Main, in De Soto, officiated by Deacon Ed Boyer. Burial is in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery in Old Mines. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
