Mary Elizabeth Smith-Viney, 61, of High Ridge died Dec. 23, 2021, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis. Ms. Smith-Viney worked as a lawyer’s aid and enjoyed quilting, knitting, riding motorcycles and road trips. Born Oct. 17, 1960, in Pittsburgh, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Eva Veneda (Padgett) Cook and James Milton.
She is survived by a son: Michael Scott (Candice Haase) Hosea of High Ridge; two brothers: Wayne Smith of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Jerry Smith of Pittsburgh, Texas; and one grandchild: Ashlynn Hosea.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Miranda Hosea.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
