Mary E. Wilson, 96, of St. Louis died Feb. 27, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Wilson was a nurse, retired from Martha’s Hands Home Health Care and Nazareth Living Center. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, Cardinals baseball, baking her Christmas “tipsy cookies” and spoiling her dog, Barney. She especially enjoyed attending the twice-weekly arthritis water fitness class led by Rochelle Messel at the YMCA. Born Feb. 24, 1926, in Valles Mines, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lila (Shelley) Kelly. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles E. Wilson.
She is survived by a daughter: Cynthia Wilson; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers: Ira, Lydell, Talbert, Ollie, Burdette, Eldon and Delbert Kelly; and a sister: Ulva Mae Miller.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
