Mary E. Sanders, 90, of College Station, Texas, died April 27, 2019. Mrs. Sanders was known for her homemade and handcrafted quilts. She was born June 11, 1928, in Dunklin County, the daughter of the late Sendy and John Dawson. She was preceded in death by her husband: Albert Sanders.
She is survived by six children: Nellie (Earl) Alexander of College Station, Brenda (Wayne) French of College Station, Mary (Steve) Moore of Florissant, Loretta (Jorge) Vanegas of College Station, Eddie Sanders of College Station and James Sanders of College Station; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister: Sue Lawson of Paragould, Ark; two brothers: George Dawson of Malden and Riley (Nancy) Dawson Weldon Springs; a son-in-law: Harold French; and numerous family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Barbara French; two sisters: Betty (Nolan) Higdon and Nina (Roy) Long; and a sister-in-law: Shirley Dawson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Center in College Station.
