Mary DiMaggio Riolo, 88, formerly of Crystal City
Mary DiMaggio Riolo, 88, formerly of Crystal City died March 13, 2017 in Wayzata, Minn. Mrs. Riolo was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City. She was born Nov. 28, 1928, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Anna (Vaccaro) and Andrew DiMaggio.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years: Manuel Joseph Riolo.
She is survived by two sons: Andrew Riolo of Charlotte, N.C., and Greg Riolo of Fresno, Calif.; a daughter: Dr. Jane (Douglas) Nemecek of Eden Prairie, Minn.; two sisters: Theresa Gleeson of Pittsburgh and Paulette (Henry) Hinckley of Iowa City, Iowa; a brother: Nicolas (Marlayna) DiMaggio of Burgettstown, Pa.; and seven grandchildren: Mary, Manuel and Andrew DiMaggio Riolo, Gregory and Andrew Joseph Nemecek and Elizabeth and Andrew Manuel Riolo.
A memorial gathering will be held from 9-10 p.m. Friday, March 24, at Sacred Heart Church, 555 Bailey Road, in Crystal City, followed immediately by a funeral Mass officiated by Father Clark Maes. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus.
