Martin “Marty” Marshall, 84, De Soto

Martin “Marty” Marshall, 84, of De Soto died May 18, 2021, in De Soto. Mr. Marshall was a mechanic for Yates Stevens Ford in St. Louis and retired from Talbert Ford in De Soto. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Born Aug. 28, 1936, in Senath, he was the son of the late Lucian and Winnie (Hatch) Marshall.

He is survived by his wife: Bertha (Horn) Marshall of De Soto; four children: Rhonda (Ralph) Pelliccio of Jefferson City, Patty (the late David) Dews of De Soto, Marty Charles Marshall of Chesterfield and Kenny Lee Marshall of De Soto; a sibling: Quinton (Joyce) Marshall of Foristell; three grandchildren: John Paul (Rachel) Wells, Jessica (Corey) Powell and Jacob (Amber) Reando; and nine great-grandchildren: Brody, Parker, Colton, Lane, Griff, Addy, Leah, Sam and Logan.

He also was preceded in death by two siblings: Charlene Bahle and Wayne (Denise) Marshall; and a grandson: Michael Marshall.

A memorial gathering will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the Gathering Room, 116 N. Main, in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
