Martha E. Underwood, 91, of Lake St. Louis died March 3, 2021, in O’Fallon. Mrs. Underwood was a union meat wrapper and owned a crafts store in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Born May 10, 1929, in Springfield, Ark., she was the daughter of the late James and Gladys (Massey) Wade.
She is survived by her husband: Jack A. Underwood; three sons: Gary “Bobo” Croft of House Springs, Larry (Brenda) Croft of Imperial and Gregory (Keren) Underwood of Palmyra, Tenn.; a daughter: Diana (Roland) Croft Morice of Wentzville; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister: Jimmy (John) McDowell of south St. Louis County.
A funeral service was held March 6 at Kutis South County Chapel in St. Louis County. Burial was private. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
