Marion Lucille Sutterfield, 89, of St. Louis died Dec. 6, 2016, at Hillcrest Nursing Home. Mrs. Sutterfield was a supervisor for Bellefontaine Gardens Rehab Center and a member of Bellefontaine Baptist Church. Born Jan. 5, 1927, in Doniphan, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Cora (Lorey) Cavens. She was preceded in death by two husbands: William “Fitz” L. Fitzgerald and Albert Sutterfield.
She is survived by three sons: William “Lawrence” Fitzgerald Jr. of St. Louis, Rodney (Kathy) Fitzgerald of St. Charles and Leslie (Carol) Sutterfield of Dupo, Ill.; one daughter: Andrea (Michael) Pappert of De Soto; two sisters: Pauline Verrill of Connecticut and Corine Dean of Doniphan; and one grandson: Kevin Holloway.
She was also preceded in death by one son: Phillip Sutterfield; three brothers: Everett Brooks, Gilbert Brooks and Cecil Cavens; and one sister: Barbara Jo Curty.
Funeral services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
