Marion E. Becker, 92, of Arnold died March 23, 2022, in Arnold. She was the Arnold city clerk for 18 years, and she was the first female mayor of Arnold. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Arnold. Born Sept. 16, 1929, in Imperial, she was the daughter of the late Selma (Kohler) and Gerard Becker.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles J. Becker.
She is survived by four children: Patricia (James) Avery of Imperial, Verna (Ben) DeGeare of Crystal City, Joyce (Bjorn) Broberg of Stockholm, Sweden, and Charles K. (Susan) Becker of Arnold; and many other family and friends.
She also was preceded in death by two siblings: Elvira Heimos and Kenneth Becker.
Visitation will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 27, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 28, at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 Church Road, in Arnold, officiated by Father Jeff Knight. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Arnold Food Pantry. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Homes.
