Marilyn Juncker, 74, of Crystal City died Oct. 30, 2020, at Festus Manor Nursing Center in Festus. Mrs. Juncker was a retired elementary and kindergarten teacher with the Richwoods R-VII School in Washington County. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City and the Missouri Retired Teachers Association. She was born Sept. 19, 1946, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Helen (Podhura) and James Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene C. Juncker.
She is survived by a sister: Sylvia Salter of Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister-in-law: Cynthia Thomas of Imperial; dear friend Bill Vest of Festus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Lynette Lynn Juncker Sarrentino; and a brother: James Thomas.
A memorial gathering is at 5 p.m. and a memorial service is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Deacon Jerry Stoverink. Burial will take place at a later date in the Presbyterian/Methodist Cemetery in Festus. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
