Margaret Theresa Hewitt, 101, of Festus died July 15, 2019, at Crystal Oaks Nursing Home. Mrs. Hewitt was a devout Catholic and a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City. She was born Jan. 30, 1918, in Ozora, the daughter of the late Leo and Mary (Arnold) Roth. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years: William D. Hewitt.
She is survived by three sons: William D. (Patricia) Hewitt of Peachtree, Ga., Warren J. (Mary Elizabeth) Hewitt of Kansas City and Earl F. (Kathy) Hewitt of Dallas, Texas; and one brother Leo and Mary (Arnold) Roth of Ozora.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Francis Roth; and two sisters: Augusta Otte and Florence Zerwig.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City, followed by a luncheon in the parish center.
