Margaret M. “Marge” McAfee, 85, of Arnold died March 4, 2021. Mrs. McAfee went to St. Margaret of Scotland Grade School in the Shaw neighborhood in St. Louis and St. Anthony of Padua High School in south St. Louis. When she and her late husband married in 1961, they moved to Jefferson County, and she became an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Arnold. She worked as a teacher in private schools. Born Nov. 27, 1935, in Apple Creek, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Frances Ponder.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. McAfee.
She is survived by three children: Mary (Jay) Comparato, James (Katrina) McAfee and Jane McAfee; four grandchildren: Luke, Emma, Isabelle and Peyton; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held March 9 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Arnold. Burial was in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Arnold. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Fey Funeral Home in St. Louis County.
