Margaret Louise Kelting, 96, of De Soto died June 5, 2018, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in CrystalCity. Mrs. Kelting was a homemaker and a member of De Soto Amvets Auxiliary and De Soto Elks Auxiliary. She enjoyed audio books, taking walks, listening to the television and spending time with family. Born Feb. 25, 1922, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late William and Irma (Kitch) Dickenson. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Kelting.
She is survived by one son: Charles (Linda) Kelting of St. Peters; one daughter: Debby (Ed) Norris of De Soto; one sister: Wilma (Jerry) Davidson of St. Louis; several grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son: Michael Kelting; and two sisters: Helen Krato and Dorothy Portz.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, June 11, at Mahn De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Mike Rose. Burial will be at the NationalCemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
