Margaret Ann Pillen, 70, of Ware died Aug. 13, 2016, at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto. Mrs. Pillen was a homemaker who enjoyed working o the family farm. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto. Born Sept. 24, 1945, in Neier, she was the daughter of the late Ida (Boehm) and William “Bill” Schroeder Sr.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years: Norvil Pillen; two children: Julie Pillen of De Soto and Robin (Kevin) White of Kirksville; two brothers: William (Mary Jane) Schroeder Jr. of Neier and Ralph (Diane) Schroeder of Neier; a sister-in-law: Viola Schroeder of Neier; and three grandchildren: Taylor McCane, Kyle White and Ethan White.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Leo Schroeder; a sister: Virginia (Jim) Grant; and a sister-in-law: Donna (Bill) Udovich.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 504 S. Third St., in De Soto, officiated by Father Alexander Anderson. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Grubville. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
