Marcus Lorenzo James, 22, of Festus died June 15, 2022, in Festus. Mr. James was a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed basketball, producing music, playing Xbox and spending time with his family. Born Dec. 29, 1999, in St. Louis County, he was the son of Charles Smith Jr. of St. Louis and Darlene James of Beaumont, Texas
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters: Monica James of Beaumont, Texas, Gabriella Andalucia of St. Louis and Megan Smith of St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon on Saturday, June 25, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Drive, in Festus, officiated by Bishop Ronald Luellen Sr. A repass luncheon will follow the funeral at American Legion Post 253 in Festus. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to gun violence prevention efforts or Shriners Children’s Hospital in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
