Maggie Jane Buff, 89, of Crystal City died June 20, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Buff was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City and the co-owner of Buff Motors, Buff Discount Center and Twin City Cab. She was born Nov. 4, 1930, in Rush Tower, the daughter of the late Jessie Belle (DeVoto) and John Thomas Becker. She was preceded in death by her husband: Clyde B. Buff Sr.
She is survived by three daughters: Deanna Nihira of Festus, Sydney (Terry Howe) Buff of Cedar Creek and Carol (Thomas) Clay of Dexter; a son: Clyde (Christina Compton) Buff Jr. of Bloomsdale; family member Noriak Nihira of Festus; six grandchildren: Lindsey (Brian Robinson) Buff, Jason (Theresa) Buff, Adrian Berry, Nick (Amanda) Nihira, Maggie (Mo) Nihira and Caleb (Jody) Nihira; seven great-grandchildren: Jessica, Jocelyn, Madilyn, Knox, Abraham, Isabell and Jase; a very special nephew Bill Becker and family; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Melanie Buff; four brothers: Robert (the late Annabell) Becker, Archie (the late Lorene) Becker, Harold (the late Betty) Becker and Eugene (the late Ethel) Becker; and a sister-in-law: Sylvia Becker.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Deacon Jerry Stoverink. Burial is in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
