Loyd N. Apple, 83, of Pacific died March 8, 2022, at his home. Mr. Apple was born May 11, 1938, in St. Louis, the son of the late Hazel Nadine (Dehls) Apple and Shelby Boone Apple, and the stepson of the late Nancy Marie (Kingsland) Apple.
He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years: Karen (Rhodes) Apple of Pacific; two children: Linda Apple of Pacific and Colonel (USAF, retired) Richard Lynn (Judy Magee) Apple, USAF, Ret., of Navarre, Fla.; a sister: Bonnie Kingsland of De Soto; two grandchildren: Katherine Sharon Apple of Chaska, Minn., and Matthew Thomas Apple of Virginia Beach, Va.; and many other family members, friends and pets.
A small private inurnment ceremony will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
