Lovevenna “Lovey” Pennock, 73, of De Soto died Sept. 21, 2021, at Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Herculaneum. Mrs. Pennock was a waitress and cashier. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in De Soto. Born April 25, 1948, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Venus (Reese) Cernicek.
She is survived by her husband: Robert Gerald “Jerry” Pennock; four children; Tina (Mike) Zebas of De Soto, Bob (Angie) Pennock of Pevely, Glenn (Molly) Rawlins of St. Charles and
Stacy (Gary) Boyer of De Soto; a brother: John (Mayra) Cernicek of Grapevine, Texas; a sister:
Mona (Kevin) Gum of Troy, Ill.; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Joseph Cernicek Jr.
Funeral services were held Sept. 24 at First Assembly of God Church, De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Derek Jones. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, De Soto. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, De Soto.
