Louise Evelyn Myers, 92, of De Soto, died Dec. 28, 2014, at her home. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church of De Soto, P.E.O. Chapter FG and Order of the Eastern Star Lodge No. 15.
She was born Dec. 5, 1922, in Lebanon, Pa., the daughter of the late Samuel John Babb and Kathryn (McConnell) Babb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denzil Earl Myers.
She is survived by two sons: Earl “Sammy” (Joan) Myers, English, Ind., and John (Barbara) Myers, Cassville; three daughters: Kathleen Westhoff, Webster Groves, Bonnie (Merlyn) Rieffer, De Soto, and Betsy (Mark) McGee, Festus; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother: Richard Babb; and one son-in-law: Dick Westhoff.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., De Soto. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1620 Boyd St., De Soto, officiated by the Rev. G. Michael Rose. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, De Soto.
