Lotus Mayrene “May” Killian, 86, of Pevely died Jan. 26, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Killian was a member of Calvary Christian Center and a musician and singer with the Twin City Pickers, a volunteer music group that performed at many area nursing homes and hospitals. Born Dec. 11, 1930, in Conway, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Dessie (Morris) and Ross C. Casey. She was preceded in death by her husband: William “Earl” Killian.
She is survived by a daughter: Anita (Jack) Robertson of De Soto; a son: Larry David (Debbie) Killian of Imperial; a sister-in-law: Virginia Casey of Festus; five grandchildren: Amber Norton, Ryan Killian, Christopher Norman, Jessica Norman and Stephen Norman; two great-grandchildren: Kelsie Norton and Ethan Norton; and one great-great-grandson: Hunter Keough. She was preceded in death by a sister: the Rev. Floy F. (Alfred) Oelsen; and a brother: Robert Casey.
Visitation will be form 4-7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at Vinyard Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Mark Turnbough. Burial is in the Sandy Baptist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Calvary Christian Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
