Lorie Ruth Barnett, 28, of Crystal City died May 5, 2015, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Ms. Barnett was a homemaker who enjoyed listening to music, dancing, float trips and swimming. Born Feb. 21, 1987, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Aaron (Debra DeClue) Barnett of Hillsboro and Michelle (Mark) Brown of Festus.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by four sons: Carter Cernicek, Canyin Barnett, Carson Barnett and Cayson Barnett; two daughters: Camree Barnett and Charlie Cernicek; two sisters: Dawn and Ashley Barnett, both of Crystal City; and her grandparents: Harry and Barbara Horton of Kansas City.
She was preceded in death by one son: Chance Barnett; and four grandparents: Raymond and Margaret Barnett and Marlin and Janet Conner.
Visitation is scheduled at 2 p.m. and a memorial service for 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Ernest Gilstrap. Burial is in the Lone Pilgrim Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
