Loraine D. Turner, 89, of De Soto died Oct. 8, 2016, at The Villas in De Soto. Mrs. Turner was a homemaker. Born Nov. 18, 1926, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late James and Violet Shoptaw. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert F. Turner.
She is survived by five children: Bev Turner, Mary McNeal, Linda Kasper, Henry Groves Jr. and Peggy Blake; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters: June Thompson and Laura Turner; one brother and one sister.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks, officiated by Gary Mann. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
