
Linda Louise Moser, 85, of Hillsboro died Jan. 7, 2023, at her home. Mrs. Moser worked as a caregiver at the Pony Bird Home in Mapaville and was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Hillsboro. She was born July 8, 1937, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Gertrude Hazel (Buckner) and Alfred William Govero. She was preceded in death by her husband: Gilbert John Moser Jr.
She is survived by a daughter: Rose Mary (Philip) Jones of Hillsboro; three sons: Gilbert J. Moser III of Hillsboro, Jeffrey (Yvonne) Moser of Hillsboro and Wesley (Bonnie) Moser of Terre du Lac; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son: Joseph Moser; two sisters: Darlene Marie (the late Thomas) Laburay and Shirley Ann (the late Hoy L. “Bill”) Moore; and a brother: James Govero.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Hillsboro, officiated by Father Ryan Weber. Burial is in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Pony Bird Home, 1 Pony Bird Lane, Mapaville, 63065 Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
