Linda Kay (Meisinger) Schmaltz, 76, of Festus died at her home. Mrs. Schmaltz attended First United Methodist Church of Festus-Crystal City. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Born May 21, 1945, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Rita Violet (Keeney) Meisinger.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years: Gerald “Jerry” Leonard Schmaltz; two sons: Richard William (Angela) Schmaltz of Park Hills and Eric Michael (Rose Mary) Schmaltz of Festus; a daughter: Nicole (Pete) Roberts of Jackson; a sister: Betty (Richard) Lurk of Olivette; a brother-in-law: Bill Banter of Kansas City; and seven grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters: Rita Jenner and Marilyn Banter.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in Festus.
