Shirley, Lillian

Lillian Mae “Lil” Shirley, 88, of High Ridge died Nov. 25, 2020, in St. Louis. Mrs. Shirley spent numerous evenings with her Slo Odies Music Group and was an active member of High Ridge Church of Christ. A friendly and gregarious person, known to many as “MoMo,” she had a green thumb and spent countless hours in her flower gardens. She also enjoyed crafting, especially making unique beaded jewelry by hand. She was born Sept. 6, 1932, in Cave City, Ark., the daughter of the late Homer Lee and Mary Lee (Smith) Brewer.

She is survived by two children: Diane (Martin) Daugherty and Ron (Debbie) Shirley; four grandchildren: Scott (Terra) Fitzgerald, Shane (Debbie) McMullin, Andrea Lynn (Adam) Bollinger and Josh Shirley; six great-grandchildren: Chase Fitzgerald, Brendan Fitzgerald, Garrett Bollinger, Morgan Bollinger, Connor Bollinger and Deven McMullin; three siblings: Norma Dyson, Wayman (Rose) Brewer and Jerry Brewer; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Darryl Brewer, George Brewer and Marvin (Linda) Brewer.

Visitation is at 3 p.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill.
