Leetha Irene Myers, 73, of De Soto died Jan. 4, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Myers was a homemaker and a member of Rose of Sharon Full Gospel Temple. She was born Feb. 13, 1947, in De Soto, the daughter of the late Helen (Oatman) and Raymond Gunnett Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband: Nathan “Nate” Myers. who died Aug. 6
She is survived by two sons: James Hasty and John (Regina) Hasty, both of De Soto; a sister: Judy Boxwell of Hematite; two brothers: Ray Gunnett Jr. and Robert (Brenda) Gunnett, both of De Soto; three grandchildren: Joshua Hasty, Alicia Hasty and Cynthia (Danny) Bowers; and six great-grandchildren: Alex, Stacy, Hunter, Pamela, Buck and Nathan.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Ruthie Gunnett; two brothers: Walter (Shirley) Gunnett and Albert Gunnett; and a brother-in-law: Gary Boxwell.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Burial is in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
