Arnold woman allegedly found with drugs at gas station

Sherry Cray

Sherry Lynn Cray, 41, of Arnold was recently arrested after being accused of possessing methamphetamine and fentanyl following an arrest at an Arnold gas station. Officers were called to the station because of a possible intoxicated driver, according to court documents.

Cray was arrested on May 6. She has been charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, court records said.

As of Tuesday, May 12, Cray was being held on a $5,000 bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court documents show.

According to a probable-cause statement filed by the Arnold Police, officers were called on June 2, 2025, to the QuikTrip gas station, 1069 Jeffco Blvd. The officers found Cray pumping gas into a vehicle.

While talking with officers, Cray allegedly said she believed she had a meth pipe in her purse and asked if she could remove it. She reached into her purse and attempted to hide something behind her back, the report said.

Cray allegedly was trying to conceal substances, which the Missouri State Highway Patrol tested and identified as meth and fentanyl, according to the report.
