Lawrence Lammert Sr., 90, Cedar Hill
Lawrence Lammert Sr., 90, of Cedar Hill died Nov. 15, 2021, at his home. Mr. Lammert was most proud of his family and his farm, Lammerts Farm, in which hogs and crops were his biggest harvests. He also worked for 44 years as a boiler maker for Nooter Corp. before retiring in 1993. He was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in House Springs and a fourth-degree with the Knights of Columbus. Born May 28, 1931, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Margaret (Loida) and Alphonse Lammert.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Arleen Lammert.
He is survived by eight children: Mary (Steve) Mollard, Larry Lammert Jr., Gerard Lammert, Judy (Chris) Lorentz, Kathy (Charlie) Brown, Sharon (Rick) Reineri, Joyce (Cory) Beck and Jayne (Scott) Beck; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sibling: Richard (Donna) Lammert; a sister-in-law: Janet Lammert; a brother-in-law: Virgil Theiss; and many other family and friends.
He also was preceded in death by three siblings: Delores Theiss, Donald Lammert and Bernadette Lammert.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday (Nov. 19) at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 20) at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4696 Notre Dame Lane, in House Springs. Burial will be in Our Lady Queen of Peace House Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
