The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced two road closures for this weekend due to work on I-55 in southern Jefferson County.

Crews will close the entrance ramp from southbound Hwy. 67 to northbound I-55 in Festus from 8 p.m. Friday, April 17, to 5 a.m. Monday, April 20. The ramp will be closed for concrete paving operations, and all work will be weather permitting. A signed detour will direct drivers on Hwy. 61-67 to access northbound I-55 from the Hwy. A interchange.

Crews will also close Herky Horine Road under I-55 from 7 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge demolition. Traffic on I-55 has been shifted onto a new bridge over Herky Horine Road allowing for demolition of the old northbound structure. All lanes of I-55 will remain open. All work is weather permitting and detours will be signed.

The work is part of an estimated $246 million I-55 Corridor Improvements project that runs from just north of Pevely south to just south of Festus.
