Lawrence F. “Larry” Scheiter, 79, of Dittmer died Jan. 21, 2018 at Missouri Baptist
Hospital in St. Louis County. Mr. Scheiter was the founder of D & S Manufacturing Car Wash Equipment and was a licensed pilot. He was a very hard worker and an unselfish and giving person who loved airplanes, boats, cars and the farm. Born July 26, 1938, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Francis (Nash) and Lawrence F. Scheiter Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years: Jan (Betle) Scheiter of Dittmer; four children: Julie (Keith) Pearson of Pasadena, Calif., Jenie (Chris) Nowark of Poplar Bluff, Lawrence "L.T." (Jen Russell) Scheiter of Maplewood and Debie (Rich) Vigus of Merritt Island, Fla.; six grandchildren: Madison, Cameryn, Sophie, Lawrence IV “Frank,” Armand “A.J.” and Brandon “Fish;” a sister: Barbara (Steve) Lueckie of Manchester; two dogs: Zeuss and Bella; and many friends.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1001 Craig Road, Suite 480, St. Louis, 63146. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
