Larry Herbert Edwards, 87, of Festus died June 8, 2022, at NHC Desloge in Desloge. Born April 4, 1935, in Festus, he was the son of the late Mame (Lyons) and Herbert Edwards.
He is survived by his wife: Fayo (Leonard) Edwards of Festus; a son: Mark (Deborah) Edwards of Festus; nine grandchildren: Anna Mayer, Megan Stemick, Samuel Edwards, Tye Edwards, Michael Edwards, Brooke Cage, Tara Edwards, Whitney Payne and Logan Edwards; 17 great-grandchildren: Payton Fenwick, Lane Mayer, Nash Fenwick, Tayrn Edwards, Sophie Edwards, Stella Stemick, Dylan Stemick, Sawyer Edwards, Wrensely Edwards, Callie Winch, Tucker Winch, Bailey Winch, Addison Payne, Raegan Payne, Jaidyn Payne, Liam Edwards and Ivey Edwards; and a daughter-in-law: Diane Edwards.
He was preceded in death by two sons: Scott Allen Edwards and Tye William Edwards; and seven siblings: Charlotte Smith, Dot Meese, Jackie Schroeder, Donald Edwards, Bill Edwards, Mable Cotner and Marie Sheets.
Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 13, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Adam Kaul. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
