Larry Douglas Warren, 74, of Poplar Bluff died Oct. 27, 2017, in St. Louis. Mr. Warren was a retired truck driver for Utley Transportation and a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Born Feb. 2, 1943, in Williamsville, he was the son of the late May (Goforth) and Pete Warren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Wilma Jean (Gill) Warren.
He is survived by two daughters: Sherry (Young) Murray of Hillsboro and Cindy (Mark Sr.) Young Sunkel of Barnhart, seven grandchildren: Teresa (Chad) Heady of Bonne Terre, Angie Taylor of Hillsboro, Josh (Shannon) Murray of De Soto, Matt (Kathy) Murray of De Soto, Tanya Lewis of Kissimmee, Fla., Amanda Sunkel of Barnhart and Mark Sunkel Jr. of Barnhart; eight great-grandchildren: Dylan, Rachel, Hunter, Justin, Jacob, Jackson, Madelyn and Cooper; and two sisters-in-law: Maxine Warren of Piedmont and Theresa Warren of Herculaneum.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Belinda (Young) Lewis; a granddaughter: Brandy Lewis; a grandson: David Taylor; three brothers: Don, Paul and Jerry Warren; a son-in-law: Mike Murray; and a sister-in-law: Wanda Warren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
